The undone puzzle of English for Iranian students

As far as I remember, English language has been one of the most challenging subjects for Iranian students. The matter has also been discussed in numerous formal and informal meetings and gatherings, but as you see, the problem is still unsolved and getting worse day by day. I wonder if authorities are unaware of the crisis or they pretend to be. Maybe they think they're doing the right thing!

In my humble opinion, nothing changes even in hundred years unless we change our mind. We must have a clear-cut comprehension of the current educational system and situation. All our plans are in vain unless we find out where we are. Our expectations are well out of reach. A great percentage of Iranian students don't know how to spell the term "English language"! How can we expect them to have no anxiety while doing the University Entrance Exam with a back-breaking English section!

There's a lot to say! Maybe next time.
